Anyone good with CT110 mechanics?

I have a CT110 that I'm having trouble with. Electrical is fine, I can kick-start it, but it dies. It does not idle up, but will just stop after 2-3 seconds. I am starting to suspect it might be a carburetor float misadjustment or an intake issue I might not be experienced with? I'm not looking for a hobby amateur (cause that's me) - I'd prefer you've worked on these enough to know their quirky faults. I just can't this one ironed out myself. Will pay $$
