JACK OF ALL TRADES NEEDED FOR HANDYMAN SERVICES IN BALTIMORE CITY This person will oversee the maintenance of multiple multifamily buildings in the Mount Vernon area. Responsibilities include: 1. Assist in maintaining multifamily buildings 2. Troubleshoot maintenance calls 3. Schedule and meet outside contractors if needed 4. General Carpentry 5. Handle emergency maintenance calls 6. Paint 7. Routine maintenance- i.e. changing filters, replacing light bulbs, etc 8. Minor plumbing and electrical work and determine when further assistance is needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Excellent communication skills 2. High school graduate, a certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience 3. 3-5 years’ work experience (preferred) 4. Must have basic understanding of how things work (facility-related) 5. Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors and vendors 6. Self-starter and team player 7. Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks 8. Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure 9. Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools Required Education and Experience 1. Must pass a drug and criminal background check 2. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record within last 3 years (No DUI’s in 7yrs.) 3. Possess reliable transportation to and from job sites 4. Possess appropriate tools to complete each task 5. Manage their own work and time efficiently
