Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Perform tire replacement work as outlined efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive customer loyalty. • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. • Save and tag tires if the job dictates or if requested by a customer. • Notify supervisor immediately if any additional repair is required or not needed. • Notify supervisor immediately if repairs can’t be completed within the time promised. • Document all work performed on the repair order to our guidelines. • Maintain the highest possible standards of workmanship; perform quality checks. • Road-test vehicles when required to ensure repair was done properly. • Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned in the future • Ensure cars are kept clean and are only driven for business purposes. • Keep shop organized, clean; must account for all dealership-owned tools at all times. • Communicate regularly with supervisor/dispatcher to confirm repair order information and diagnostic information. • Follow established safety protocols; report any shop equipment in improper working condition; immediately report safety incidents. • Understand, keep informed of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know. • Safeguard dealership assets and customer data. • Complete all required training assigned through the company training portal. • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule (Monday-Friday 9-6) • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the TexasCarsDirect brand. • Other duties as assigned. Skills/Qualifications • Ability to identify the problems quickly. • Excellent reading, computer, and communication skills. • Must have at least a high school diploma/GED. • Tire Certifications preferred but not required. • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment. • Able to lift over 50 pounds. • Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time. • All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug test, and valid driver's license. • Basic computer skills. • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
