Up and coming Property Management company looking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician for our 108 unit, class B+, apartment community in Lake Villa. $1000 RETENTION BONUS AFTER 90 DAYS!! We are searching for a highly motivated individual who takes initiative, is self-motivated and has a “take charge” attitude. This is a one man property so you will be given the opportunity to make this position your own. The ideal candidate will be professional, courteous, possess a positive and teamwork orientated attitude. Requirements: This position does require the candidate to be on rotating on-call once every 5-6 weeks and will be asked to service our 4 north west suburb properties during their on-call period. EPA certification is required along with practical HVAC experience. In addition, the candidate will need some knowledge in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, painting, and drywall. Responsibilities: The Maintenance Technician responsibilities include completing apartment work orders as well as painting and completely turning the vacant units after move-out. Additional responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician are: -Rotating on-call schedule to respond to after hour maintenance emergencies. -Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for work not handled internally. -Purchase supplies and maintain stock levels. -Maintain maintenance shop in a neat and orderly fashion. -Coordinate and facilitate maintenance programs. -Additional duties based on Company’s needs.
