Hi! I found a small bird in West Hempstead- absolutely someone's pet. This bird is currently living with me near Mineola. I'm not going to give a description of the bird because craigslist can be sketchy and I don't want to be tricked into giving the bird to someone trying to make $$- I want to reconnect the bird with their rightful family. This bird is healthy and clearly well cared for so I think this was a mistake and this bird was not just dumped or unwanted. Email me a description of the bird you lost and I will confirm or deny if I have your bird. The only detail I'm giving is it is a small bird. (Tell me color, sex, type of bird, if they're banded or not, - any other details or a picture) The bird is safe, well fed, healthy, and has a decent enclosure and a few toys (which you can keep if you want it upon reuniting) I'm a veterinary assistant and have bird experience so I promise you your baby is safe and being very well cared for!! I will not surrender the bird to a shelter or try to rehome - if no one claims I am happy to keep caring for said bird. Please be patient with me I have a few 12 hr shifts coming up and it may take me a little while to get back to you!!
