If you have singing ability, that is a plus. If you are a drummer you must have a practice space where the noise will not be an issue. My influences range from 1950s/1960s pop/doo-wop (Elvis Presley, Dion & Belmonts, Gary Lewis) to 1960s Motown (Temptations, Impressions) to classic rock (Boston, Foreigner, Foghat), to thrash groove, and nu- metal of the '90s (Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica).
