We are looking for our next Full Time Steward/Dishwasher. The ideal candidate will have open availability, to include but not limited to, nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience in a similar position and knowledge of safe food handling practice preferred. Job Summary Some of the duties for this position include: Ware washing; including silverware, utensils, dishes, glasses, pots, and pans. Sweeping and mopping of floors. Emptying of trash cans. Assisting with the plating of banquet events. We strive to keep our kitchens at the highest levels of cleanliness, orderliness, and sanitization. Operate dish machine according to company and manufacturer standards. Operate pot washing sink according to company and manufacturer standards. Ensure that all items are washed, rinsed, and sanitized according to set standards and food safety requirements. Collect and remove trash from all areas. Carry out general cleaning as directed to include but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors, ware washing, sanitizing common area, and wiping down doors and walls. Adhere to SDS (Safety Data Sheets) related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace. Maintain all chemical levels to achieve success in the washing and cleaning of all areas. Put dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, and all other items away neatly and in their designated location. Notify Supervisor or Manager of any breakage or damaged to ensure proper corrective action is taken to keep the operation running efficiently and safely.
