Lakewood Country Club is looking for dependable people to fill part-time seasonal and full-time seasonal positions that could become year round for the Turf Care Department. The season extends from March through October and the schedule is 40+ hours a week (M-F, 5:30 AM-2:00 PM) and requires working at least every other weekend mornings (5:30-8:30). Pay range is $15.00 - $19.00 D.O.E. Part-time positions for mornings and weekends are also available. This can be a physically demanding job and we work in all kinds of weather. Golf privileges, uniforms and lunches provided. Assistant in Training - We are also looking for a dedicated individual, who wants to get into the golf course industry profession or those with more course experience. This will work into leading small crews as experience and other skills are gained. Pay depends on experience. Golf Course Grounds Staff Lakewood Country Club is looking for dependable people to fill part-time seasonal and full-time seasonal positions that could become year round for the Turf Care Department. The season extends from March through October and the schedule is 40+ hours a week (M-F, 5:30 AM-2:00 PM) and requires working at least every other weekend mornings (5:30-8:30). Pay range is $15.00 - $19.00 D.O.E. Part-time positions for morning and weekends are also available. This can be a physically demanding job and we work in all kinds of weather. Golf privileges, uniforms and lunches provided. Employees must be able to perform the following: • Lift 50 lbs • Walk at least 3-4 miles a day • Frequently bend and kneel. • Safely operate handheld equipment and follow oral and written directions. • Work in outside conditions: heat, cold, wind, and rain. Tasks include: • Maintaining all areas of the course: turf, sand bunkers, trees and flower and shrub beds. • Possibly spraying tasks after license obtained • Performing construction projects such as removing and laying sod, seeding, shaping and grading soil, and planting. • Pulling weeds • Using hand tools such as rakes, shovels, tamps, brooms, etc. • Using small power equipment such as string trimmers, push-mowers, hover mowers, edgers, and blowers. • Operating utility carts, some with manual transmissions. • Hand watering turf and ornamental areas. If you enjoy working outside and getting plenty of exercise, apply in person M-F 8:00-3:00, (other dates/times can be arranged), at the Turf Care Department, located at 6800 W. 10th Ave (corner of 10th and Pierce) in Lakewood.
