Description

The Groundskeepers provides labor and grounds services which may include but are not limited to: Grass cutting, weeding, pruning, seeding, fertilizing, leaf clean up, gutter cleaning, rubbish and recycling removal, athletic field set up and break down, hockey rink set up, break down, sanding, de-icing and snow removal. This position also provides services for campus events, including set-ups, building maintenance tasks, installation of lawn furniture and landscaping tasks. The Groundskeepers drives various types of vehicles including but not limited to trucks, automobiles, tractors, aerial lifts, forklifts, Zambonis and vans and uses various types of equipment and tools to move furnishings and equipment, and to provide set-ups and take-downs for events and special activities. This position performs similar or related duties as required. This is a full year position, with a weekly work expectation of 40 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM daily with a 15 minute break from 9:00 to 9:15 AM and a 45 minute lunch 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM, Monday through Friday. Some Saturdays and holidays work as well.
