Join us for the 2021 Montgomery County Fatherhood Summit: Strong Families, Healthy Community on Friday, August 27 from 9 am - 4 pm. Children do best when both parents are positively involved in their lives. If you are a father and/or someone that supports fatherhood, please sign up now for the Montgomery County Fatherhood Summit to hear how fathers can overcome barriers and have meaningful relationships with their children. Networking opportunity will begin at 8:45 a.m. Morning session will feature the following: Welcome from Montgomery County Leadership and Kimberly A. Dent, Executive Director of the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood/Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Roundtable on Social Justice Morning Session will provide a variety of breakout sessions including: Boys Need to Move to Learn - Kwanah Bronaugh, KB Educational Staffing ServicesToxic Masculinity - Susan Gottschalk, Artemis CenterMen's Mental Health - Jim Altensee, Dayton Women’s CenterLunch Afternoon Roundtable on Child Support and Custody & Visitation Afternoon session will provide a variety of breakout sessions including: The Importance of Fathers in Early Education - Palmer Jason, Preschool PromiseReturning Citizens Re-Engaging with their Children - Quinn Howard, MC Office of ReentryNurturing Fathers - Bernard Jones, Jr., Reviving A Village SolutionsThis is a free event however registration must be submitted by Friday, August 20.
