Description

Join ACR and Preeti's Handmades for an afternoon of flower making! Make your own eternal wildflowers in this workshop out of crepe paper. Who doesn’t love some brightly colored flowers!? Make your own eternal spring wildflowers or colorful carrots in this workshop out of crepe paper. While no one can match the beauty of nature, these come pretty close and last a long while. You can use these to jazz up your home decor or give as gifts. We'll learn how to make at least two types of flowers, more if time permits! Artist Bio: I am Preeti Agrawal, a craft blogger and watercolorist. In my work, I am concerned with experiments that combine old and new. I am drawn to the modern craft sensibility but at the same time the traditional arts call to me. I love the interplay of the two as I adjust traditional arts to new mediums and materials. A concern for the environment and a reverence for nature pervades my daily life and my work: I save fabric, remnants, beads and the castaways of modern living and incorporate them in my work. Making things by hand gives me joy, up cycling, salvaging and repurposing materials gives me joy, as a result my crafting world is the perfect marriage of two!
