Description
Proper measures taken to prepare for and reduce the effects of disasters. Predict, mitigate, prevent where possible and respond effectively. Lone Star Ladies Monthly Topic: Disaster Preparedness: Disaster preparedness refers to measures taken to prepare for and reduce the effects of disasters. That is, to predict and, where possible, prevent disasters, mitigate their impact on vulnerable populations, and respond to and effectively cope with their consequences. Disaster preparedness provides a platform to design effective, realistic and coordinated planning, reduces duplication of efforts and increase the overall effectiveness of your household and community. Disaster preparedness activities embedded with risk reduction measures can prevent disaster situations and also result in saving maximum lives and livelihoods during any disaster situation, enabling the affected population to get back to normalcy within a short time period. Joining us will be Glenda from ServPro to talk more in detail about preventative measures and well as what clean up in the aftermath of a fire, tornado, ice storm, etc. looks like in detail. Lone Star Ladies Objective: Connect with the women of Texas Gun Experience and join the Lone Star Ladies Gun Club! Each month TGE will offer two Lone Star Ladies meetings that include training, range time, and special club accesses. To accommodate all schedules, we will host one morning and one evening class meeting each month. The Lone Star Ladies Gun Club mission is to relay that information to you in a safe and informational manner. This group is suited for everyone from beginner to the well-armed woman, covering the basics through defensive shooter tactics. Our classroom lectures will vary from basic marksmanship skills to burglar proofing your home, low light training, to how to be range ready. Cost: $25.00 includes classroom portion (30-40 min), range time (30-40minutes) and free rentals, ammo not included. What to bring: Feel free to bring your personal firearm.
