Medical Dental Vision Company-paid Life Insurance Title: Maintenance Technician FLSA: Hourly/Non-exempt Reports to: Maintenance Manager Salary Range: 18.00-23.00 Summary: The Maintenance Technician is required to perform a wide range of preventative maintenance and repair tasks. This position is responsible for keeping the facility buildings, their grounds, and any equipment or machines housed there organized, clean, and in working order by repairing any problems when they are discovered, before they have a chance to worsen. The Maintenance Technician must have a focus on safety, while supporting manufacturing operations. This position may require working evening or weekend if necessary. This position also entails physical activity, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders and stairs, and standing for extended periods of time. Responsibilities: • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment as directed. • Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and to restore full use of water fixtures • Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or damage has occurred • Maintaining building HVAC equipment to keep climate control functioning properly • Performing inventory on supplies • Installing new equipment • Ensuring that safety equipment is functioning properly including smoke detectors • Perform work in a safe manner, following all established safety rules and regulations. Corrects potential safety hazards to avoid injury • Repair and maintain mechanical equipment • Follow all established Maintenance practices, including documentation of work and inspections performed • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment • Support all facility needs as necessary • Schedule pest control and landscaping maintenance • Continuous improvement in speed and accuracy of preventative maintenance plans. • Installation and troubleshooting of production equipment. Requirements: • Industrial maintenance experience including electrical and plumbing systems • Ability to carry heavy objects, climb tall ladders, • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Works well under pressure • Effective communication skills • Excellent attention to detail skills
