The backstory.From Helena’s oldest building, the Pioneer Cabin built in 1864, to the alleyway apartments built for single miners in 1867, Reeder's Alley reminds us of our gritty, hardworking roots and represents Helena’s growth, charm, and unique character. Since working in Reeder’s Alley several years ago, Anna Strange, owner of Simple & Strange Events and Marketing, has dreamt of bringing an event series like this to life. First, to invite the community to come together, connect, and rediscover the magic of the Alley, and secondly, to help support the beautification and care of this special piece of history. This series will premier on Sunday, August 15, 2021, and will be held in the Caretaker’s Lawn behind the Pioneer Cabin. Future sessions will be hosted based on project need and seasonality. Each session in the series will feature a different live, acoustic local musician. Think of this as a relaxing, private backyard concert in Helena’s oldest neighborhood.
