Helping Hands Herbal Remedies Tuesday, August 3, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Osamequin Farm, Seekonk MA $30 per child ages 5 and up (not a drop off event, a free adult will be assumed with the child) The plants that we grow in our gardens hold so much power! Join Farmer Sarah for a tour of a magical space at the all-organic Osamequin Farm full of medicinal herbs and sensory explorations. We'll learn about the herbs and flowers that bloom in summer, take a tour of the garden, and work together to harvest fresh herbs and use them to create a special healing salve for everyone to bring home. Sarah Turkus is the Farm Director at Osamequin Farm (pronounced Oh-suh-MEE-kwin). The farm uses all organic practices to raise flowers, blueberries, veggies, herbs, chickens, sheep, pigs, and more! The land at Osamequin is also home to a cooperative of five other small farms. Sarah has been a farmer since 2010, and these days you can find her on the farm being followed around by her friendly dog Mabel. ENRICHri is a welcoming, inclusive group that offers many events, field trips and support services throughout the year.
