Tennis Memphis – the nonprofit focused on building a better community and improving the lives of Memphis' youth through tennis and education – is hosting its largest fundraising event of the year, the Rally to Raise Gala at Memphis Botanic Garden. What: Rally to Raise Gala benefiting Tennis Memphis When: Saturday, Sept. 24, 7 p.m. Where: Memphis Botanic Garden – 750 Cherry Rd, Memphis, TN 38117 Ticket includes: Food, open bar, music and a silent auction. Tickets will be available for $75 through Eventbrite starting Aug.13 and $100 at the door. Tables of 10 can be purchased by emailing Melinda Hoehn at [email protected]. All proceeds benefit Tennis Memphis and help continue its mission to provide accessible opportunities to Memphis youth by inspiring them to get active, make friends, have fun and potentially further their tennis training and education. For over a decade, Tennis Memphis has impacted the lives of thousands of Memphis’ youth through its NJTL Tennis Summer Camps, and with year-round youth development programming at municipal tennis centers and schools in the Memphis area. NJTL was envisioned and founded by tennis icon Arthur Ashe as a way to make tennis available to underserved youth. In addition to learning tennis, children are coached in  academic excellence, life skills and leadership, and many of them ultimately attend college  on tennis scholarships. Most importantly, they learn what it means to be good citizens.
