BRAINTREE, MA — Back-to-school planning has already begun, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Braintree Public School District. The first day of school for Braintree students is Sept. 1 for grade 1-12, while kindergarten students and pre-kindergarteners start up on Sept. 8. Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Braintree, though classes are slated to be all in-person to start the year. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year: Braintree Public Schools Dates To Know First Day: Sept. 1 Half day: Sept. 28 Half day: Oct. 20 Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26. Nov. 24 is a half-day, while the other days are off.
