WOODBRIDGE, VA — One man has been charged in connection with a shooting that injured a 9-year-old girl in Woodbridge last month, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities said they are still looking to identify other suspects who were involved in the original shooting. Wilson Doswell IV, a Dumfries resident, was arrested on Tuesday, July 27. He is now being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. On Tuesday, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force said they saw Doswell and another man entering a vehicle in Dumfries. "The two men were detained without incident," the police department said in an incident report. Read more: 9-Year-Old Grazed By Bullet In Woodbridge: Police Authorities claimed that they found a firearm in Doswell's possession when he was taken into custody. The other man also had a concealed gun, police said. Doswell is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of using a firearm in commission of a felony, one count of reckless handling of a firearm, and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling. His court date is scheduled for Sept. 16. Doswell was one of several suspects who were wanted by police in connection with the shooting outside of the Riverwood Apartment complex in June. The only person who reported injuries in the shooting was a 9-year-old girl who was grazed by a bullet, police said. She was treated at the scene. Authorities said she was inside a nearby apartment went two groups outside exchanged gunfire.
