CONCORD, NH — If you have not noticed already, NH Right Now has gone through some changes. Patch in New Hampshire is working to give you a bit more information in this post as well as everything we've been working on, six days a week (we take a break from the post on Saturday). Here is everything going on in New Hampshire right now: NH's Biggest Cities And Unemployment WalletHub.com released a new study on Wednesday taking another look at the economic recovery and the jobs market. Unemployment nationally is now less than 6 percent. Hiring is going on everywhere. Two of New Hampshire's largest cities, Manchester and Nashua, came in at 4th and 5th, respectively, on the list of Most Recovered Cities in the nation. Read the full report here. 'On The Nature Trail' Podcast The New Hampshire Fish & Game Department has launched a new podcast, "On the Nature Trail." The podcast is based on the popular New Hampshire Wildlife Journal column of the same name. Author and Fish and Game's Wildlife Educator Lindsay Webb shares her adventures and wildlife encounters while hiking, biking, and kayaking around the Granite State. Facemasks Optional For Merrimack Schools School districts around the state are grappling with what to do about face coverings during the 2021-2022 school year. One community's school board, Merrimack, in a task force meeting on Monday, recommended the masks be optional … but that could change, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader. Gate City Residents Eye Police Commission Changes Nashua is one of a handful of cities with a police commission. But its members are chosen by the governor, not city officials, according to NHPR. Now, residents are trying to change that. Another 40 Under 40 Celebrated For all the talk about how New Hampshire cannot attract young people to stay in the state, it is great to see that, once again, the New Hampshire Union Leader, with the help of many of its readers, have found another 40 impressive people under 40 who reside here. Educational Cup Challenge On Saturday The fifth annual New England Dragway event will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, at the New England Dragway in Epping.
