Calabasas Pumpkin Festival Returns For 2021; Artisans Sought

CALABASAS, CA — The annual Calabasas Pumpkin Festival will make its triumphant return in October 2021, and vendor sign-ups now are underway for the fest's Marketplace. Artisans and crafters selling fall-inspired, pumpkin and Halloween merchandise and decor can register for booths at the family-friendly, pumpkin-centric event, planned Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 16-17 at Juan Bautista de Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road in Calabasas. "If you have autumn, harvest or Halloween items, or want to sell your crafts, clothing or home & garden products to thousands of patrons, then the Pumpkin Festival Marketplace is for you!" city officials said. "The Marketplace is a point-of-sale purchasing opportunity designed for patrons to leave with products in hand." Among acceptable products: handmade arts & crafts; jewelry & clothing; home & garden items; soaps & body care items (on-site merchandise only; no catalog sales); and some pre-packaged food items. Last year's festival was canceled due to the pandemic. This year, the town tradition returns, running 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, hosted by the City of Calabasas and Calabasas Chamber of Commerce. Entertainment line-up and contest details are not yet announced, but visitors can look forward to pumpkin food, carvings, a beer garden and a good, old-fashioned pumpkin patch. Ticket info here.
