"Vaccinated people infected with the Delta variant might be contagious, the CDC says in justifying its new mask mandate," says Dr. von Schwarz. "The mandate requires everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks indoors in public places as a precautionary measure even for those who are fully vaccinated. The CDC says this will also ensure an easy way to verify that all unvaccinated people are masked in the prescribed settings."
