PHOENIX, AZ— Back-to-school planning has already begun in Phoenix, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Phoenix Unified High School District and Phoenix Elementary School District, to name a few.
The first day of school for most students in Phoenix is Monday.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Phoenix.
Like last year, these policies could change any time before the first day
Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:
Phoenix Union High School District
First Day: Aug. 2
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26
Winter Break: Dec. 17-Jan. 3
Spring Break: March 5-March 13
Last Day: May 20
Phoenix Elementary School District
First Day: Aug. 5
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 21-25
Winter Break: Dec. 19-Dec. 31
Spring Break: March 5-March 11
Last Day: May 25
