Press release from the City of Mobile: July 28, 2021 MOBILE, Ala. - The Mobile City Council's Finance Committee met on July 27, 2021, to discuss the Administration's proposal for use of American Rescue Plan Funding. The meeting was a working session which gave Councilors an opportunity to ask various Administration officials questions about the proposal. As a result of the meeting, it is the intent of the Chairman of the Finance Committee to recommend adoption of the Administration's proposal to the entire City Council on Tuesday, August 3rd during its regular meeting at 10:30 a.m. Individuals wishing to offer comment on the proposal are asked to contact the City Clerk's office at 251-208-7411 to register to speak at the meeting. Comments may also be sent to the City Clerk at the following email address: [email protected] The City Council will be called upon to vote on the ARP proposal on August 10, 2021, in order to meet Federal deadlines for submission.
