You speak for a lot of people, we weren't the cause of slavery. A lot of African americans don't want handouts, though some will not agree with this. We're blamed for ruining there neighborhoods, yet there fellow African Americans are bringing in the drugs, killing innocent people, making babies that are raised by the state and grow up in that environment and the cycle continues into the next generation. It's crippling our nation because welfare is a job for so many of them. I grew up in an army town. We weren't well off by any means and I grew up with A lot of black friends. I lived beside them, walked to school with them( the bus was only for kids in the country) and experienced the good and the bad side of being poor. When roots came out on tv in 1976, it was like an animal being set free from a cage, me and my brothers had to run for our lives because there were packs of blacks chasing and beating the shit out of any one that was white. 1 of my brothers wad mentally challenged and had no idea what was going on. Luckily we were able to always make it home safely. But this blame game on whites is all they see. Now if you fly an American flag (yet they are African americans) your a racist. I hope that people read your words and maybe get a different mindset. I know lots of hard working black men and women that don't want handouts and shake there heads at what "their people" are doing. And there are instigators amongst them who hide behind the robe and preach hatred. Just needed to get some things off my chest and I couldn't have said it better.
