Fellow Musicians, I am a guitarist looking for good players with great attitudes! Classic Rock and Motown is what you will mostly find on my playlist. However, blues (classic or modern) country, Bob Dylan and contemporary pop can also be great genres for an audience that's either kicking back, or ready to get up and dance! So, that's a starting point. Learning new material as it fits in with the present group will always help to develop the band's own identity. I play well enough, keep up with the band, am enthusiastic, and always ready for rehearsals with a smile! Respect for others and a sense of responsibility toward the group supports the glue that keeps bands together and relatively sane (ha!). Practice and band rehearsals can be taxing, but having fun while you are there and enjoying what you're doing has to be key. I do have rehearsal space; it's a garage with a large portable air conditioner (and heat) when needed. In the past, I've also organized the rental of studio space when distance was an issue. Forming a new band can take a lot of time and energy; it can be down right exhausting! But once it gets going, the band feels tight, and we're enjoying the moments, then it's so much worth the effort! The result should be that you're working hard toward a common goal, you're enjoying the time spent with the band and that you feel you are a part of something special. In all honesty, I hesitated posting this ad, but the alternative was not acceptable. I really miss playing music with a band. So, let's do this! I am presently looking for a vocalist (female singer preferred, but good vocals is most important) bassist, drummer and keyboardist. A saxophonist would be a great addition if the opportunity presents itself. There is a second guitarist that my become available down the road (in a month or so). One last thing.......... I am fully vaccinated and the expectation is that all band members be vaccinated as well. Thanks for respecting that.
