Description A growing food manufacturer in North County San Diego seeks a Q/A-Q/C Lead Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic and ambitious and use their drive to excel, while gaining valuable experience that would allow them to develop their career. Responsibilities • Responsible for documentation, control, maintenance and implementation of a detailed Quality Management System (QMS) i.e. System overview, procedures and records, including HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). • Responsible for clearly identifying and communicating objectives for the QA and Sanitation teams. • Responsible for planning & delegating tasks to meet objectives. • Responsible for the day to day management and development of the QA team to meet bakery needs. • Responsible for investigating and resolving food safety and quality Customer Complaint. • Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and bakery standards. • Responsible for reporting the QA issues and agreeing corrective actions with the bakery management team. • QA liaison with production, maintenance, sanitation depts. and external contractors. • Responsible for training bakery personnel in Basic Food Hygiene practices, GMP’s, etc. • Monitoring and control of on-site QA and Sanitation budget. • Contract review for external suppliers/services relating to QA. • Technical representative for La Provence Bakery at customer and independent audits. • Responsible for scheduled raw material supplier performance review • Responsible for providing Technical advice and direction with respect to company Quality policies. • Ensuring company is compliant with local, state and federal regulations as well as environmental and food legislation. • Responsible for maintaining the master sanitation schedule, sanitation records and procedures. • Responsible for conducting food safety, sanitation and GMP audits on a monthly basis. • Interprets company policies and enforces safety procedures with team members. • Maintains department morale and assists with resolving personnel conflicts. • Review and approve weekly payroll for QA. • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Pest Control Program with effective follow up on any observations and recommendations made by the outside pest control company. This includes monitoring trend analysis reports and ensuring an annual IFC survey is completed. Schedule pest control monthly meeting to review records and accompany the pest control technician in the plant walkthrough to validate the service • Other duties may be assigned.
