Office Furniture Warehouse Associate Office First Solutions Columbus, OH 43228 $16.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, Paid time off, Vision insurance, plus store discount. Full-time: Schedule: 8-10 hour shift with some weekends (Saturdays.) HIRING IMMEDIATELY-FURNITURE WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATES! The ideal candidate is responsible for opening, assembling, and inspecting inventory. Cleaning furniture, loading/unloading trucks and some off site deliveries will also happen. Experience with barcode scanning, and order picking a plus! KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: · Employees are needed to manually offload, barcode and scan all items coming into the warehouse. Inspecting all incoming merchandise for damages, marking flaws and notating them. · Employees will need to load items into high racks, be confident on ladders, the use of dollies and working on their feet for most of the day. · Employees work closely with the shop techs to ensure that all items are repaired, cleaned, and ready for next day delivery. · Employees are responsible for removal of all packaging materials, moving all trash to the sanitation area once a job is done, and keeping the work areas clean, organized in order to meet all safety requirements. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: · High school diploma required. · Ability to communicate in the English language in both reading and writing. · Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus. · Ability to carry out goals and instructions and to follow through on assignments. · Demonstrates a customer focus, with a understanding of Office First Solutions core values. · Ability to safely move up to 50 lbs. or more. · Ability to maintain heavy physical activity during the entire shift. · Ability to use a Two wheeler, Four Wheeler, Pallet Jack, and some Power Tools. · Ability to drive a forklift and/or forklift certified a plus. · Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, and walk frequently. · Ability to work in in-door/out-door climate. · Must have the ability to be a little flexible with the hours worked. This is a new warehouse and there is plenty of potential for some overtime and some weekend (Saturday) as we get the operation setup. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: · Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to read reports, view computer screen, etc. · Must be able to hear and understand speech to interact with others. · Must be able to speak so that others will be able to understand. · Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with both hands to include keyboarding, handwriting, office/POS equipment and handheld equipment operation. · Will bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach at or above shoulder level. · Will lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance.; transport loads of up to 300 lbs. or more. · Will work predominately in a warehouse environment; Potential exposure to oil, latex, and spray paint. Household cleaning chemicals, biological odors and household dusts; as well as moderate warehouse noise.
