Regional Distributors, Inc. is one of the largest distributors of commercial cleaning, food service, paper, and packaging products and equipment in Western NY and the Albany area. We are looking to hire a detail-orientated Order Fulfillment Picker & Packer to join our enthusiastic, service-orientated team. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, enthusiastic energy and experience with warehouse operations including picking, packing, assembly, and sorting to meet the company’s productivity and quality goals. Qualified candidates must have the physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs., have experience operating stock pickers and hand jacks, as well as experience with general warehouse and shipping operations. RATE: Starting at $18/hour dependent on experience. Full time employment includes full health benefits and retirement package. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS • Pick and pack customer orders including small parcel and all sizes of freight orders up to full truck loads. • Properly prepare all outbound shipments, including appropriate labelling. • Prepare products for shipment through various repacking and kitting projects. • Constantly inspect goods and packaging for defects and damage. • Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using pallet jack and forklift. • Maintain efficient warehouse operations and consistently seek opportunities to streamline and improve processes. • Utilize effective time management to complete ongoing projects alongside standard duties • Perform additional duties as required and/or requested. • Maintain a clean, safe and hazard-free environment. • Support the company’s values, mission and operational goals. REQUIREMENTS • At least two years of warehouse operations experience is required. • Experience operating hand jacks and stock pickers is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and team orientated. • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively, with emphasis on following directions accurately and thinking proactively. • Must be punctual when arriving for shift and maintain good attendance. • Strength Rating: H = Heavy Work. Ability to exert 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 75 lbs. of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
