Certified Laboratories, formally known as Microconsult Inc., has an exciting new opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our growing team. In this key role you will keep the building clean and orderly, perform preventative maintenance as necessary, and make minor adjustments or repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, or electrical systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Following standard procedures and safety guidelines. -Supply all restrooms. -Daily sanitization of high-touch surfaces. -Perform minor repairs on the building and laboratory equipment. -Coordinate with external cleaning company, landscaping, and snow removal. -Coordinate with autoclave vendor for repairs and preventative maintenance. -Coordinate annual inspections including the fire sprinkler system and backflow system. -Scan inventory into RIMS and send packing slips to relevant parties. -Make minor adjustments or repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, or electrical systems. -Monitor building security and safety by ensuring tasks such as locking doors after operating hours or checking electrical appliance use are performed to ensure that hazards are not created. -Maintain supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. -Notify Laboratory Manager concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. -Other duties as required. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: -At least three (3) years relevant prior experience required -Must successfully complete the Hazardous Waste Management (EPA RCRA) and DOT – Hazardous Materials in -Transportation 49 CFR Parts 171 – 178 training as required. -Good organizational skills - ability to use your time, energy, resources, etc. in an effective manner. -Must be able to multi-task -Ability to lift at least 60 pounds -Ability to stand for prolonged periods -Time management – one’s own time and the time of others.
