Description
Hi, my name is Jon and our home has two little turtles that need to find a different, better forever home.
So, here is the story. My wife works at a local veterinary hospital and a person called them up a couple weeks ago and said they just found two turtles by a dumpster and didn't know what to do with them. My wife told them to bring them into the hospital. They did. Now our house has two turtles.
My wife contacted a reptile rescue up north and after a week of waiting it turns out they are at full capacity and suggested to post an ad online to find a good home for them (or euthanize them which is simply out of the question). We already have 4 cats and a dog in the house, all of which are a little too curious of the turtles, so, we need to find them a home. A good home.
They are two, small, Red Eared Sliders. Currently about the size of an adult's hand, however, they will get bigger. Up to a foot in some cases, depending on environmental conditions and quality of life. They will need to be kept warm and in a water-like environment. We are asking an "adoption fee" of $5.00 each to meet Craigslist policy and we will want a general idea of who we are giving them to in order to ensure they find a good and safe home. These are the same turtles that can be found at retail for $130.00 a piece, so we aren't trying to scam anyone. Just need to find them a good place to be rather than our already farm-like household.
Thanks for checking out this post and please don't hesitate to reach out!
