Job Title: Refinisher Assistant Function: To provide assistance to the production of the senior refinisher. To perform tasks such as preparing furniture, stripping, sand, cleaning, repairing, and any other tasks felt necessary to move projects along. Reports to: Senior refinisher Major Functions: Provide assistance to the senior refinisher Assist all other employees Maintain a clean and organized area Tasks within functions Provide assistance to the senior refinisher Perform any tasks that helps the production of the senior refinisher work Assist all other employees Assist any other employee with day to day activities such as moving furniture, cleaning up, and general maintenance. Keep the shop clean and organized Clean your area at the end of every working day Make sure all paint supplies are organized and clean Keep all tools in their proper places Dispose of all garbage or wastes Inform warehouse manager of any projects that need to be refilled Required skills: Hard working, motivated, proactive, easy-going, individual who is eager to learn and pursue a career in furniture refinishing. Physical and environmental requirements: Must be able to live heavy objects Must be able to work around harsh conditions such as extreme heat or cold Must be able to work around loud noises Must not have any current health problems that would be affected by different types of fumes and chemicals Hours of operation: 7-4 or 8-5 M-F with one-hour lunch
