Position Summary: The Driver Maintenance position drives a box truck and cargo van to pick up food supplies and donated items and provides daily support for facilities maintenance under the direction of the Facilities Manager. Monday through Friday: 7:30 to 3:30 p.m. Knowledge and Experience Requirements: Ability to do maintenance activities and use standard tools Ability to follow basic directions Ability to complete projects well and in a timely manner Ability to lift at least 40 pounds in a safe manner Ability to do minor repairs and basic clean-up activities Ability to be flexible in workload Ability to drive a van and box truck with lift gate Ability to identify maintenance / facility needs and to respond appropriately Ability to maintain accurate records Daily log Completed maintenance forms Donation slips Duties and Responsibilities: Follow standard list of tasks and daily assignments (new form) Daily Keep outside areas of building clean and trash-free Accept and store appropriate donations Check all bathrooms for needed repair / clean-up Mop up spills in a safe manner Assist staff and volunteers with minor requests Provide staff with maintenance request forms for larger projects o As Assigned: o Paint walls, etc. o Minor Repairs o Change light bulbs o Empty trash o Transport items in van and within the agency o Other duties as assigned o Special projects which require extra hours and different schedule, for example around the holidays for Christmas Sharing.
