Lyricist/songwriter wanted by songwriter guitarist for long distance collaboration to help complete song ideas for an original project. I am based out of the Northeast US. I have basic song beginning pcs that need lyrics and various parts in a mix of rock/pop/ new wave sound. I like varied styles in the rock/pop format. This is not metal, hard rock, blues, country, techno or rap. I have fairly simple melodies and beats to get the process started. I am not out to try to write the next formula commercial pop hit. I would rather create songs that fit into a band concept. The songs do not necessarily sound like this but i have liked the songwriting of the following bands among many others over the years –Crowded House, bowie, Sting, John Mayer, The Furs, Sheryl Crow, Rufus Wainwright, Harrison, Lennon. I am looking for a like-minded songwriter so if this style is not your thing then no need to reply. The idea is to complete the songs, record and then use them how we see fit. This is not a paying gig.
