Description
We have a wonderful opportunity for a line cook/prep cook looking for a flexible schedule within the catering industry that pays $20/hr. We are looking for dependable/hard working line cooks/prep cooks who want to work with others who have the same hard work ethic as them.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
To be responsible for your section in the kitchen, including, but not exclusively:
-Food quality and consistency
-Efficiency of services/kitchen
-Food comes out in a timely/simultaneous manner
-Product and service standards
-Should have great knife skills
-Keeping a clean/tidy station
-Complying with all Health & Safety regulations
-Maintenance of kitchen equipment
-Set an example to staff when working on a section.
-A good understanding of product/recipes (which must be followed exactly)
-Following Instructions of Sous Chefs
Qualifications
-2 years experience working in a catering/high volume NYC Kitchen
-Food Handler License preferred
