We are looking for a CDL or Chauffeur Driver who has basic mechanical knowledge and looking for a chance to grow. This is a long-term spot with growth opportunity and offers an AM Day shifts + possible overtime and is based out of Allen Park, MI. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Entry-Level Mechanic Tech /Driver position below are strongly encouraged to apply. Day shifts plus possible overtime available. Retirees and veterans are welcome. Shift: • AM Day shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday - Friday + OT as needed) Pay: • $16.50 to $21.00/hr. (Depending on Experience) Requirements: • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent • Must have a valid U.S. Chauffeur or CDL driver's license and a good driving record • Must have an up-to-date medical DOT card • Minimum 2 years' driving experience in the U.S. or military equivalent • Able to drive a manual transmission vehicle • Minimum 2 years' automotive technician / mechanic experience or equivalent military experience • Need basic mechanical knowledge/experience. • Ability to travel to support test trips (primarily out of state), up to one week at a time. (25%) • Must have excellent communication experience, both in writing and verbal • Must be able to read maps and follow direction • Must have reliable attendance and be able to work overtime/weekends • Must have strong computer experience • Must be self-starter • Prefer knowledge of Ford products with diesel engines and diesel exhaust emission components.
