Looking to form jazz/blues/swing/jack rusch 3 or 4 piece. I play guitar. Leaning towards doing more than 1-4-5 spicing it up with minor fills and arpeggio style playing. Can I play like that? No, not yet, not completely anyway. I understand the concept of playing over the chord. But, I have that drive to put me there and I have a super cool place to practice consistently. A patient guy, or girl, to teach me some basic chord structure, I'm a quick study considering I've been playing on-and-off for 30-years. Have pro gear as well. Live close by the South Bay is the key to pull off the practice sessions. This is the upright electric bass you'll be playing.
