I have Removed two walls in a kitchen to open Things up. This is a 2nd floor condo unit. There are 2- 3"x10" Sections of duct work to be moved. One (short one in pic) is for kitchen exhaust. This can just be cut and capped at ceiling line. The other one is the kitchen exhaust for the unit below. I've taken up sub floor and removed some ceiling. Full bay open in floor joists to take off of 3 x 10" vent, w 6" round move 3.5' then back up wall (next to elec panel) with 3"x 10" vent duct into attic then back to original duct that goes up and out the roof. Easy access to attic although most work should be easy off of a ladder from below.
