Create Portraits on Location in this in-person event. Learn hands-on how to create awesome portraits on location! We will meet at Glazer's, in the classroom on the second floor for a quick chat and overview of Gear. From there we will explore South Lake Union, seeking out interesting backgrounds and compositions, using lighting in a variety of ways: from reflectors, to one & two light setups, featuring the the Profoto A10 and Profoto B10. Attendees will have the opportunity to "be the photographer", in a variety of lighting scenarios. Kate will set up a shot, and work with attendees to help them recreate those setups on their own. This will be a small, group setting, providing the attendees an opportunity to gain real world lighting experience. WHAT TO BRINGCamera with a fully charged battery and memory cardLens, ideally something in the 35 - 50 - 85 - 105 rangeAttendees should have an understanding of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and how to navigate their menus. Kate’s work is a mix of studio portraiture to street photography, blending in movement and stories along the way.
