Girl Talk Incorporated is an empowerment and mentor organization designed to meet the growing needs of the female youth in Indianapolis, IN The Girl Talk Incorporated 8-week empowerment program provides an environment where girls can talk freely about issues that relate to their everyday world. Girl Talk Incorporated will offer tools and resources to help empower girls to become their best self, and be successful in their personal and future professional lives. Girl Talk Inc. provides a safe, fun, and judgement free atmosphere. Girl Talk 7 week curriculum: This Girl Talk Inc empowerment program will focus on Etiquette, primarily Social Etiquette. Social etiquette is important because it helps us be aware of our conduct and thoughtfulness when interacting with others as well as being mindful of our behavior, body language and our appearance. Good manners begin and end with common courtesy, however, as of late it appears that these essential life skills have been lost. It's time to get back to the basics of teaching our girls manners and grace that will carry them a long way in life. Girl Talk wants the girls that we serve to have the social graces needed to go into any setting, whether it be at home, school, and/or events and be a pleasure to be around. We will also cover Dinner/Eating etiquette, Home/Family etiquette, and School/Classroom etiquette as well as proper appearance outside of the home. Graduation Ceremony takes place on the 8th week, same time same place Girls ages 10-18 years old Girl Talk Inc program dates: Every Saturday starting August 28th - October 23rd minus Sept. 4th due to Labor Day Girl Talk Incorporated 8-week program fee: $25.00, covers lunch and program supplies for 8 weeks. VERY IMPORTANT: Participants have to be present 6 out of the 7 sessions (8th class is graduation) to receive a certificate of completion and a Girl Talk gift bag. NO EXCEPTIONS! Also all parents must fill out a parental consent form for participating girls. Once registration is purchase I will email you a parental consent form to be filled out in its entirety. Please add on the form if your child has any food allergies. All forms must be turned in prior to the the start date on May 1st. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Minimum age requirement for Girl Talk participants is 10 years old, but if your child will turn 10 within 3 months of the program starting then an exception will be made. Through a staff of volunteers and advisors we facilitate weekly meetings in a judgement free atmosphere designed to address various topics and offer tools that can assist the girls in dealing with the day to day challenges that they face. When girls participate in the Girl Talk empowerment program, our objective is that when they complete our program  they know and believe they can achieve whatever they dream of and can handle any obstacles that come their way.
