Muhahaha! Welcome to the Mad-Science Laboratory where we explore math & science with movement, music, and fun to foster a love of learning! This two week workshop looks at interdisciplinary applications of maths & sciences. From #FinancialLiteracy to #Fibonacci; #NumberTheory to #MusicTheory, #SpaceExploration to #SpatialCognition, #Topology to #VisualArt, and much much more! Mathematics is all around us from our daily activities to rocket science. In this immersive experience, students will use Visual, Auditory, Tactile, and Kinesthetic cues to gain a deeper understanding of physics and mathematical concepts... what we like to call VAKT skills! Each lab is about 2 hours consisting of games, dances, and talks with our Mad-Scientists that share their expertise on how math influenced their careers. Early Bird Special ends 7/25/21 at 11:59PM: $250 for all 20 classes If capacity allows we will offer $30 drop-in. Save The Date for info session/Pop-up Mad-Science Lab: Saturday, July 24rd 12-4pm @ Downtown Yogurt - Tribeca Covid-19 Protocols: MathMove & Downtown Yogurt are committed to providing a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for our students, staff and faculty to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. All participants are required to adhering to CDC guidelines on social distancing, mask wearing, hand hygiene, and follow capacity limits by the State of New York. Participation contingent on the following: CDC approved cloth face covering/mask required, clear after answers screening questions, cleared after have their temperature taken, and must wash hands with soap before class. At this time we plan to conduct labs outside on the Patio. (Rain Check days: 8/16-20 or services credit available.) At this time we are only allowing 10 pre-sale tickets. As we approach the date, we may release more spots as under the guidance of the State of New York.
