The Pollinator Garden is designed to teach hands on and visual lessons about the importance of planting native plants/pollinators.
South Ward Strong (SWS), a grassroots community organization, is located in Newark's South Ward. SWS' mission is to revitalize The Culture Spot into an Environmental and Wellness Space by beautifying and improving the lot; promoting health and well-being through learning; and celebrating Newarkâs unique culture and identity.
Native Plants/Pollinator Garden: Growing a Native Plant Garden is essential for food, shelter, and nesting sites for insect and birds. Activities will focus on parallel connections of gardening, creativity, nature, and personal growth initiatives. Instructor: Dena Corbin
