Annual Father-Son Dove Hunt Howdy, Everyone! Well, its that time again, and every time I see a dove fly by, I get excited about seeing everyone and shooting some birds. The hunt this year wll be September 17th thru the 19th and will be at the Hillside Boutique in Castroville as tradition dictates. Please fill out the Eventbrite form below for your group so that we have an accurate count of rooms and hunters to get Steve Wilson to put us on a prime time field. We have opted to hunt a half day this year after speaking with Steve, resulting in a higher kill rate. His all-day hunts are generally not on as good of fields as his half-day hunts so let's go get em fellas. We all will be arriving on Friday afternoon and will have our general meet and greet in front of the hotel. On Saturday morning, we will be meeting in front of the donut shop in Castroville. In the spirit of tradition, and since they have a pretty good parking lot, we’ll meet at Habbys, but please know, there is a donut/kolache shop on the right (on the way to Habbys) that you can stop at to get some decent kolaches… not many of us have been impressed with Habbys food but have at it if you’d like. Please make sure you hustle out and get you shells early as they are sometimes hard to find (good point John Rose). Once you arrive on Friday, please make sure you tell them that you will be paying for your own room and confirm that they put your credit card on file so I don’t get charged. On the RSVP System below- please fill out an RSVP as a group and make sure you check the boxes for the hunters that will be paying for a room (If you are by yourself and are rooming alone, please just select one ticket). For example, if you are registering for 4 hunters and you need 2 rooms, you’ll mark “This hunter is paying for a room” for 2 of the hunters. Please note, we have 10 rooms reserved and will need everyone to fill out the form ASAP so we can update the hotel on an accurate count of rooms. There is also a checkbox to mark if the person will be hunting or not; this is so we can get a good count to Steve Wilson. There are also checkboxes for things that you will be bringing for the cookoff and please know, they are just suggestions and not at all a comprehensive list. “Keep your powder dry” -RJ Miller
