Join us on a guided tour of the Global Greens Farm for a chance to learn more about our program, the farmers, and their produce. Tour structure: - Group and staff introductions - Walking tour of the farm, barn, and facilities with Global Greens' Farm Associate or Land and Production Specialist - Question and Answer *maximum capacity of 20 people per tour – sign up now before it’s too late! *Tours will be about 60 minutes in duration Learn more about: - The Global Greens farmers, their backgrounds, and how they grow food - The Global Greens program - In-season produce and what it looks like while growing - Cultural significance and/or origins of specialty produce - How the Valley Farm operates - Ways to get involved What do you want to know or ask? We’ll be sure to answer it! *Since this event takes place on Saturdays, many farmers will be selling their produce at the Global Greens Farmers Market during tour hours. Be sure to stop by the market after your tour to greet the farmers and support their efforts directly! When you arrive: - The Global Greens Farm is located in the field behind Valley Community Center. - When you arrive at the Valley Community Center address, head to the back end of the parking lot. A Global Greens Staff member will be there to assemble the tour group, and then you will all walk out to the farm together. *Wear shoes you are comfortable walking through grass and dirt paths in New Global Greens staff members take a tour of the farm in Fall 2020
