Local equestrian facility is looking to hire several part time workers to fill several caretaker and property maintenance positions coming available.
We would prefer part time work to start but will consider moving the right person to full time if they prove able to preform duties constantly, reliably, and efficiently.
A paid working interview process should be expected as we want to find the right person for the job and realize with this kind of job it needs to work both ways!
We are a hardworking team and manage 40+ horses and their owners on a daily basis. The right candidate realizes that things will change and flux depending on the needs of the horses, the weather, something needing fixing, etc. Keeps us all on our feet! We strive to communicate and help each other out when needed.
Required skills & qualities for the job:
-Meticulous stall cleaning
-Attentive feeding of grain and supplements/oral medications to horses
-Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with machinery and power tools
-Experience with tractors, mowers, 4 wheelers, blowers, arena drags, water trailers etc or the know how to figure it out.
- A can-do/can figure it out approach to work, heavy lifting, and a job that sometimes throws curveballs
-Team oriented, ability to accept direction, constructive criticism, and be flexible depending on the needs of the farm.
-Ability to lift 50+lbs on a regular basis
-Have transportation and English speaking
-100% reliable and dependable and honest.
Currently hiring for both AM & PM shifts.
Benefits:
Potentially able to keep one horse on property in trade for some labor.
