The Crawford County Historical Society welcomes you to the fifth annual Eleanor Davies Croquet Classic! Do you play croquet? Even if not, you're in good company! The Crawford County Historical Society welcomes you to: The Fifth Annual Eleanor Davies Croquet Classic and Garden Party presented by Allegheny College We were the bee's knees before...but our fifth year will sure to be even better! Sunday, July 24th Registration: 12 pm Tournament Throughout the Day Final "Spectator Game" and Garden Party: 4:00 pm-6:30 pm Find your Downton Abbey or summer white attire, get a fantastic hat or grow out that amazing mustache, and gather your team of 3 to enjoy a friendly tournament on the lawns of the Baldwin-Reynolds House as well as most of the mansions on Terrace St! Any skill level is welcome and no prior experience necessary! Our schedule for the day will include: Three games of croquetFull Lunch and Dinner"Tea" (Beer) throughout the day sponsored by Voodoo BreweryPimm's Punch and other period libationsPrizes for the top team as well as those with the best outfits, best facial hair, best hat (for the ladies), and more!A fantastic garden party under canopy tents on the museum lawn to watch the final tournament game as well as enjoy great company, live music, a full dinner, great prizes, basket raffles, and wonderful libationsThose who do not wish to play croquet are still welcome to purchase "Spectator Tickets" which allow them to arrive starting at 1 pm to watch the games. Spectator Tickets include admission to the Garden Party and final spectator game as well (but not lunch). ***Please note: In case of inclement weather, we will still attempt to delay the start of the tournament for up to one hour. Sponsorship of the event is a tax-deductible donation to the museum and just like a golf outing, no refund will be issued if weather causes the match to be canceled.
