WELLESLEY, MA — A black lab puppy is back at home and two Framingham residents are facing criminal charges following a recent dognapping, according to police.
Wellesley police on Monday reunited the puppy Ember with her two owners. The dog was taken from her Redwing Road home on Thursday. Wellesley police used surveillance images from a neighbor's home to figure out who took the dog.
According to WCVB, Wellesley police found footage of a car that had circled the block where Ember lived on the day she was taken. The car was traced back to a home in Framingham, and officers witnessed the dog outside the home.
Wellesley police arrested a 40-year-old man and issued a summons to a 32-year-old woman on charges of receiving stolen property and conspiracy, WCVB reported.
