Red Sox Will Recognize Framingham Nonprofit Leader

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The co-founder of a Framingham nonprofit focused on educating and enriching young people will be honored before Wednesday's Boston Red Sox game. Margie Rosario, co-founder of Discovering Hidden Gems, will be recognized along with three other Massachusetts educators as part of a program run by the company iRobot. "Margie will be recognized on the pitcher's mound prior to the game, accompanied by Kiran Smith, iRobot's chief marketing officer. Jeremy Cowham, a 2020 graduate from the Red Sox Foundation's award-winning college success program, Red Sox Scholars, and iRobot software engineer, will also throw the first pitch," an iRobot spokesperson said. Other educators being honored include Olu Ibrahim, founder of Lowell-based Kids in Tech; Elvis Cabral, director of Lawrence-based Movement City; and Cedric Turner, executive director of Brockton-based Empower Yourself. The Wednesday Red Sox game against the Toronto Blue Jays begins at 7:10 p.m.
