NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — New Port Richey police are searching for a man who took an employee hostage at gunpoint at the Mass Pharmacy and made the employee open a safe where medications are stored. Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, a man entered the pharmacy in East Richey Square, 6518 Massachusetts Ave., brandished a gun and demanded narcotics. When the employee opened the safe, the man removed dozens of bottled of narcotics. He is wanted for armed robbery, kidnapping and grand theft.
