Description
We are looking for an after school staff for the 2021-2022 school year. Please have child care experience and be responsible, prompt, work well in a team environment, have good social skills and love working with kids to join our team! Position starts on August 30th with orientation and training hours as early as mid to late August. School year hours are: Monday and Wednesdays 12:45-6:00 and Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays 2:00-6:00. There is a possibility of starting work ASAP as a summer camp substitute and then continuing on into the regular part time position in fall. This position can also be flexible with college students changing schedules over quarters. Work for a great organization! Green Lake School Age Care Program (GLSA) is a state licensed, nonprofit social and emotional learning based child care program dedicated to creating meaningful relationships with children and working together with families to help raise caring, socially aware, happy and emotionally intelligent young people. Job duties: Our new teacher will join a team of one to two other staff members to create curriculum, facilitate activities, provide support in managing any difficulties children may have, maintain our activity schedule and generally create a wonderful, safe and enriching space for children to learn and grow. *GLSA operates under Department of Health guidelines for childcares during Covid. Job requirements: Staff are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least 12 credits in 100 level or above college coursework and have completed the WA state 30 hour childcare basics class or complete upon hiring. In addition staff must pass a back ground check, be CPR/1st Aid certified and provide documentation of a negative TB test or complete upon hiring. Our organization reimburses for all training costs and job requirements. Staff receive training in nonviolent communication and John Gottman's "Emotion Coaching" as tools to help support children in their social and emotional learning.
