RESTON, VA — In spite of the many hurdles the COVID-19 pandemic has presented to college students from Reston, many have continued to pursue their education. Some have done so with distinction.
The following students were recognized recently by their respective schools for their academic achievements:
Lydia Payne of Reston was named to the spring 2021 dean's list for excellence in academics at Georgia Southern University.Anne Marie Kellogg of Reston achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring 2021 semester, earning a spot on the Provost's List at Hofstra University.Megan O'Hara of Reston majored in creative writing and was a May graduate at Hamilton College. He was named to the spring 2021 dean's list.Peter Stluka of Reston, who is in the mechanical engineering program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, was named to the spring 2021 dean's list.Jordana Sweeney of Reston, who is earning a bachelor of science in speech pathology & audiology at Miami University in Ohio, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2021 semester.Katya Shakula of Reston, who is a class of 2024 student in the media arts production program at Emerson College, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2021 semester.Aidan Rodriguez of Reston was named to the spring 2021 deans list at John Carroll University.Cameron Rodriguez of Reston was named to the spring 2021 deans list at John Carroll University.Maddie Bennett of Reston, who is a class of 2022 student at Bucknell University, has achieved dean's list status for spring 2021.Kathryn Miles of Reston recently graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biology from Tufts University.Jaelyn Chang of Reston, who is a student in the class of 2024 at Tufts University, was named to d the dean's list for the spring 2021 semester.
